The barking dog sound library showcases the sound of a female German Shepherd barking in 58 clips and 1.35 gigabytes.
The field recordings were captured in 15 synchronized takes. Close barking was recorded with a Sennheiser MKH 8060 on a boom and DPA 4060 microphone attached to the necklace (2 channels). Distant, worldized takes were provided by a Neumann RSM-191 and a Holophone (6 channels) to convey space, echo, and slap back. Together, they depict the dog barking outside in a field, in an alley, and inside a reverberant space, like a warehouse. Performances include fast, steady barking, sporadic barking, and some whining and movement.
Each clip is embedded with multiple fields of professional metadata. Reaper and Pro Tools sessions are included to allow the tracks to be mixed easily.
