Downloading
Download links eventually expire after 8 days. No problem, though! Refresh your links here.
We send confirmation emails immediately after the order is complete.
Check your spam folder. The email could be there.
If not, contact us, and we’ll help you.
Download managers are incompatible with pole.se. Please turn off download managers when downloading sound libraries.
Since download managers download a file with many “threads” in parallel, the attempt exhausts the 8 maximum allowed downloads, “timing out” a download and delivering an error.
If this happens to you, please contact us. We’ll ensure you receive your files.
Sometimes an error message will display when trying to unzip a downloaded library file. This often happens if the zip file hasn’t downloaded completely.
To resolve this, delete the original file and download again. It’s most helpful to download zip files one by one to minimize the risk of the download aborting and “timing out.”
In our newer libraries we have begun to list the general file size beside the download link. This will give you a guideline of the final size of the zip file. If your download is much smaller, the download has likely “timed out.” Try downloading again.
Please note: since file sizes are calculated different on Windows and MacOS, the sizes are a general guideline.

Yes! We offer discounts on multiple sound library purchases. The discount is automatically calculated in our checkout:
- 5 – 9 sound libraries: 10% discount
- 10 – 14 sound libraries: 15% discount
- 15 – 24 sound libraries: 20% discount
- 25 – 49 sound libraries: 25% discount
- 50 – 99 sound libraries: 35% discount

The VAT rate differs depending on where you are located, if you have a VAT number, or if the order is a company purchase.

Sound libraries
At this time our sound collections do not include fixed RPM loops.
However we are planning to release a specialized collection focusing on loops for game audio.
The majority of our sound libraries are WAV, 96 kHz, 24-bit.
The channels range from mono, stereo, quad, and more.
To learn about the specific file format for each collection, visit the sound library page and click the “Additional Information” tab.
Each sound library is recorded, mastered, and curated to the highest standard.
In addition to the WAV sound files, a growing amount of collections include mixing sessions, custom rendered versions of onboard recordings, embedded metadata (Soundminer, XML, BWAV, and more), as well as metadata keyword import files in seven languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese, Chinese).
Yes! We create specially crafted metadata for each of our sound collections.
Our metadata is compatible with Soundminer, BaseHead, Soundly, and others.
We also include Universal Category System metadata in the CatID field.
Our sound libraries range from 20-40 tandem tracks of carefully recorded audio.
Prices vary due to the amount of tracks, the size of the library, and rarity of the recordings.
Pole Position Production sound libraries can be used as many times as you like on your own projects, as long as they combined in sync with other media (audio, video, etc).

Sometimes you may see gaps in the sounds that occur sometimes at the beginning, middle, or end.
This is normal. Many of our sound libraries are made so sound files work in tandem. They combine many microphones paired together so that users can pick which perspective or tone they prefer. In some cases, there is no sound for portions, which appear as the gaps in the timeline.
In short, the gaps are there to ensure the clip matches with alternative recordings. The tracks are synchronized to keep time, with gaps from perspectives without sound.
We do include Reaper and Pro Tools sessions for many libraries that help get an overview of all these similar tracks working together.
Some of our sound effect libraries have multiple version available:
- Spotting Files: these are short, trimmed stereo clips from the longer, full versions. They have a comprehensive selection of files that will fit in most circumstances. They are intended to be easy-to-use, so they can be simply dropped into or “spotted” to a timeline, used independently of other clips, and so on. Typically this will be three versions of onboard driving, and two exterior perspectives.
- Complete Library: every multi-track sound recording available for the vehicle, including multiple onboard and exterior perspectives, custom mixes, mixing sessions, and other support files.
Yes, certainly! You can upgrade by paying the difference between the Spotting Version and the Complete Version. Contact us and we will get you started.
We provide Ambisonic recordings for most of our vehicle sound libraries. They are recorded with a Sennheiser AMBEO microphone in A-Format with the microphone positioned upright.
Some Pole Position Production sound libraries includes Altiverb and Waves IR-1 raw sine sweep recordings. The Altiverb and Waves plug-ins are required to use these IR recordings.
Some packages also includes IRs in starter pistol gunshot or clapperboard formats that may be used more widely with IR software.
It is advised that shoppers check with their convolution reverb software for compatibility.
Some of our vehicle libraries are labeled as “Dyno Recordings”. These collections features the vehicle recorded indoor inside a garage, with the vehicle attached to a dynamometer. You can see the “Dyno” label on the product box and product title.
Dyno sound library performances typically include running the engine with steady RPMs, ramp engine sweeps, and idles. The performances are recorded with multiple microphones from the interior, engine, and exhaust. Custom mixes of each location are also included. The sound library sessions (Pro Tools and Reaper) include labelled RPM rates where possible.
Since the vehicle does not move, no exterior performances such as departures, arrivals, or passes by are included.
