The Volvo PV444 sound bundle showcases field recordings of a vintage Swedish model from 1957. 15 synchronized takes gather 258 sound fx in 17.49 gigabytes of the car’s in-line 4-cylinder ohv B16A 60 horsepower engine with a three-speed manual transmission.

Eight exterior perspectives share 17 channels of audio as the car starts, departs, passes, arrives, and shuts off on straightaways and around corners. Eight more onboard perspectives (12 channels) from the car’s exhaust, engine, interior, and Ambisonic cabin capture driving at fast, medium, and slow speeds with steady RPMs, ramps, and gearshifts. There are also a variety of performed effects of doors, dashboard switches, and more.

Each files has 18+ fields of Soundminer, BWAV, and MacOS X metadata.
