MG 42 Machine Gun Sound Effects Library
The German MG 42 7.92x57mm machine gun sound library features 183 sound clips in 4.81 gigabytes of audio. Also known as Hitler’s buzzsaw due to its lethal reputation, it was a used in WW2 and for many years afterwards.
The sound library shares field recordings of microphones arranged at a variety of distances in 24 perspectives and 44 channels of audio. Both gunshots and performed handling effects are included. The gun was recorded at two locations for distinct sonic textures with both longer and also shorter, concise gunfire tails. The sound library includes Pro Tools and Reaper mixing sessions, embedded metadata, and metadata translations in 7 languages.
