Allison Gearbox 6000 Series Transmission Sound Effects Library

The Allison 6000 gearbox sound library includes 180 clips in 23.13 gigabytes of field recordings. It shares the sound of a 6 speed, 2-reverse speed transmission with hydraulic retarder and power take off (PTO) operating within the 522kW to 764kW range.

The collection shares 13 synchronized takes of microphones arranged both onboard the machine and at an exterior perspective. Together, 13 perspectives depict the transmission running with gearshifts, ramps, and steady RPMs, both forward and backwards with and without load, as well as simulated driving.

Also included in the package are Pro Tools and Reaper sessions, 18+ fields of Soundminer metadata, BWAV, and iXML metadata and MacOS Finder comments, and metadata import files for keywords in seven languages: English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.
